About 

Stéphane Chatigny joined the firm in January 2022 as a lawyer and partner. A graduate in law from Laval University and in European Union law from the Université Toulouse 1 Capitole in France, he has been practicing as a litigator since 1998, including several years with major Canadian law firms and the BCE/Bell Canada Legal Department.

Specialized in advice and dispute resolution, including alternative dispute resolution, he has pleaded before all Quebec courts, the Federal Court, the Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities (Gomery Commission), the Tribunal administratif du Travail and private arbitrators.

He also represents his Asian clientele before the administrative decision-makers of the Quebec government, in the context of the Immigrant Investor Program.

In addition to his commitment to dispute resolution, Mr. Chatigny offers the firm's clients his intimate knowledge of China and Hong Kong, where he practiced for ten years. In August 2020, he was called to testify as an expert witness before the House of Commons Special Committee on China-Canada Relations.

Mr. Chatigny acts in commercial and general civil litigation, including shareholder disputes, real estate disputes, franchise agreements and unfair competition, joint ventures, estates and trusts, and termination of employment contracts.
