This year, Fortier D’Amour Goyette is celebrating two milestones in its history: 75 years since the founding of Ovila JB Goyette’s law firm and 30 years since the creation of De Chantal, D’Amour, Fortier.
Two distinct histories, now united within the same firm, driven by a shared vision: to offer rigorous, humane, and sustainable legal support.
De Chantal, D’Amour, Fortier and Hardy, Goyette & Associés, two law firms operating in Longueuil, merged on October 1st, 2017 in order to become Fortier, D’Amour, Goyette, a multidisciplinary law firm composed of seasoned lawyers and legal advisors. Although they amalgamated their resources, personnel, and professional services, the two firms maintained the same devotion to excellence and kept promoting the values that made their reputation.

De Chantal, D'Amour, Fortier was founded in February 1996 in Longueuil. This law firm has constantly diversified, while maintaining a practical approach focused on the interests of its growing clientele. The team has demonstrated its expertise in providing personalized services to individuals, businesses and institutions. Our lawyers have earned the esteem of the courts, the respect of their colleagues and the confidence of their clients and collaborators. & ASSOCIATES
The result of a merger between two law firms founded in the 1960s by attorneys Ovila JB Goyette and Jean-Pierre Hardy, Hardy, Goyette & Associates provided first-grade professional services while remaining constantly involved in the area’s economic development. Composed of experienced notaries and a new generation of seasoned professionals, the team has met all of its clients' needs in personal, real estate, business and corporate law.

Me Ovila JB Goyette founded his practice and set up shop in Ville Jacques Cartier (now Longueuil). In 1982, his son Jacques joined him, along with his sister. This marked the beginning of Goyette & Goyette Notaries.
